Oh Please….,
I’m not going to sugar coat this review. The book made no sense whatsoever. First of all, the chances of a 15 year ancient girl captivating the mind of a seasoned hustler is not believeable. Then he meets her mother to question her for permission to date her in full hustle gear, with a hustle mobile parked on the curb… I reflect not. Granted, the book is fictionally characterized, but the writer seems to try to base the theme on the realities of “the game.” Not even close. It was the fairy tale version of young girls with rich dreams. I reflect this was a excuse to expose the use of street slang, and toss in a few clothing lable names for added effect. If you want to read about life in this perspective, then read “The Coldest Winter Ever” by Sister Souljah. She puts it down so real. And you walk away with a truer sense of reality when it’s all said and done. Sorry Nikki… it’s just not poppin. Peace.

|Why So Much Hype???,
I really don’t know what the hype is about this book. It was a disappointing read. I thought it would be exciting due to the reviews it was getting but instead it was dull. To me this book is on an immature level. I don’t recommend this book to anyone.

|Horrible! Ghetto Values, Ghetto Mentality & Ghetto Writing,
Did anyone even bother to proofread this book? There are numerous grammatical errors, gone words, transposed words, misspelled words and typos galore. All of these glaring errors made it hard to get through this first-time trash novel.
If that wasn’t terrible enough, the plot sucked! I can dig an urban fairy tale, but everything in this book was un-friggin’-believable. The star is the dumbest person on the planet, yet she’s supposed to be brilliant and gorgeous. What I saw was a gold-diggin’, opportunists who allowed herself to be used over and over over again and never woke up to the “game.” But then over again, she did find God at the end and that makes it all excellent, right?!
Ill-treat! None of the characters were sympathetic. The twists were outrageously stupid and illogical. This was a ho video in book form with plenty of bling-bling, designer name-dropping and an ending only an idiot would buy.
My advice to someone looking for a excellent book, look elsewhere. My advice to Ms. Turner, try taking a remedial English class! And question for tips on verb-subject agreement.
